Huzzah! I got my author copies of Cold to the Touch yesterday – on my birthday, no less – and I have two to give away (signed or unsigned, winner decides.) I’ll even throw in a packet of delicious pork scratchings because I’m nice like that. To enter, just say hallo in the comments before Sunday 22nd November, noon GMT. I’ll announce the winners on Monday 23rd.
And if you don’t know what a pork scratching is, you are in for a treat!
Yay! I’ve been looking forward to more Sanne and Meg time since No Good Reason. I just read a wonderful review of your new release this morning. Congratulations in advance. It’s going to be a hit.
Thank you! I just hope that the people who do pick it up enjoy it. That’s more than enough for me 🙂 And I wonder whether the review you read was the same one that had me smiling yesterday morning, because it was a cracker!
Hello! Can’t wait for this, I have loved all your books so far and a signed copy would make Christmas!
Hopefully it’d be with you for Christmas if you won. This is definitely a book to read in front of a log fire with something nice and comforting to drink.
can’t wait – loved no good reason, looking forward to a cracking read!
I’m getting a bit tingly myself. The cover is so very lovely, and I sat and reread all my favourite bits yesterday 🙂
this sad little Aussie is holding up her hand (though faint, you might be able to see her wave). She lives so far, far away (as they say in Shrek), that she gives up hope of ever being a contender for a signed copy.
I’ve said this to Sue and Diana on FB: if your name comes out of the hat, then rest assured I will send a copy to Oz. I’m sure I sent one a couple of years back, I’ve definitely had an Aussie winner before 🙂
Can’t wait to read this one! And it seems to be Boo-approved. Love his little scarf. I’ll admit that I’m a wee bit scared of the pork scratchings, but if they are in any way related to bacon then all’s well. 🙂
They’re porky, so very best friends with bacon. Poor Boo, he had no idea what I was up to, but is used to his collar being taken off and put back on (he gets a bit of an irritated neck so we remove it while he’s inside!) that he wore the scarf without complaint. According to a FB friend, you should have scratchings down south!
Congratulations on receiving your author copies. I look forward to the release date.
Thank you kindly. This book will no doubt have so many damn release dates – BSB e-book, BSB paperback, Kindle, paperback on wider sale – that I shall fail to keep up with them all 🙂
Looking forward to reading Cold to the Touch – perhaps in a shiny, new, autographed copy!
Belated birthday wishes.
You never know, I shall keep my fingers crossed for you. And thank you for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day walking through a gale at the top of a hill. There’s definitely something of Sanne about me and my wife 🙂
As long as you have continued your maiming hijinks. So are pork scratching like pork rinds?
I couldn’t possibly say.
About the maiming that is, pork rinds and scratchings do seem to be one and the same.
Count me in, please
Counted!
Love your books. Count me in
Fab! Will do 🙂
Well, Cari, I don’t know 🤔 what Mr. Porky 🐖 is Scratching, but if it isn’t contagious, I’m willing to give it a try 😳 Hope your birthday was fab!!!
I don’t *think* it’s contagious. They’re hermetically sealed, so you should be fine. And my birthday was rather splendid, thanks.

Looking forward to this one.
Me too. Terrified, but looking forward to it all the same.
Hi Cari, I’d love to win a signed copy :-). Have to say I’ve never tried pork scratching so, so would welcome them too x
Be careful what you wish for, Angela 😉 While I am completely responsible for the book, I take no responsibility for the scratchings.
Hope you had a happy birthday…
I did, thank you. We went walking in a force 9 gale, got rained on, and went out for a slap-up meal. Perfect.
Heh, have to admit i’m only in this for the pork scratchings 😉 Just kidding, love your books! Looking forward to reading this one 😀
Well, hey, you won one! Congrats on your bag of scratchings 😉
Well I may be late (since I am in California!) but I will try anyway. I have to say I haven’t tried pork scratchings before, so that would be a treat! I have tried your books before, so I know this one will be a treat!! Count me in if I made the time line! By the way, your little kitty is adorable!
I think you were in under the deadline, Marie, but sadly didn’t win. Not sure I’d describe pork scratchings as a “treat”, more of a cholesterol-fuelled nightmare, I think. But you’re right about Boo being adorable.
I think I’m late too, but hell, no cheek no chance! I review (mostly) crime fiction at crimeworm.WordPress.com, so, Cari, if you want me to review it, check out the blog (I’m a bit behind at the mo as my mum was in hospital – all well now, thank goodness!) And feel free get in touch – I’m on Twitter @crimeworm1. I especially like to feature up-and-coming crime authors. I’ve never had pork scratchings either – I’ve never noticed them in any pubs in Scotland, so maybe they’re an English delicacy? Or I’m just observant? Best of luck with the book, anyway!
Eek, I don’t tweet! You were in time for the draw, but your name didn’t come out of the hat. I emailed you at your hotmail address, though, because I’m nice like that 🙂
